National Guidance by way of LABSS Information Papers

LABSS seek to provide information and guidance to verifiers, designers and the public that is consistent and determined nationally through LABSS Consortia Technical Working Group. These generally encompass topics where questions have been asked with respect to the meaning behind particular standards and where potential disputes have arisen both within the building standards profession and in discussions with applicants, relevant persons etc. LABSS information papers are managed and administered by the SBSH.

National Decisions by way of LABSS Dispute Resolution Process (DRP)

LABSS seek to resolve disputes in regulatory interpretation and/or procedural matters through LABSS Dispute Resolution Process and Consortia Technical Working Group networks. LABSS Dispute Resolution Process is managed and administered by the SBSH.

National Decisions by way of LABSS Scottish Type Approval Scheme (STAS)
LABSS seek to provide consistency of Building Warrant assessment of repeat designs through the national Scottish Type Approval Scheme (STAS). LABSS further seeks to save verifier and applicant time through the promotion and uptake of the scheme. The Scottish Type Approval Scheme is entirely managed and administered by the SBSH for LABSS.
