18 November 2019 PAS2035 BSI updates to the specification on installing EEMs in existing dwellings

We have updated the specification on installing EEMs in existing dwellings

The UK became the first major economy in the world to pass laws to end its contribution to global warming by 2050.The target will require all greenhouse gas emissions to be net zero by 2050, compared with the previous target of at least 80% reduction from 1990 levels.

The standard on requirements for the installation of energy efficiency measures (EEM) in existing buildings has been revised and is being split into 2 standards. PAS 2035 is a new framework Standard and PAS 2030 is substantially revised.

PAS 2035/2030 covers a comprehensive range of EEMs which are intended to improve, among other things, insulation of building fabric elements and air tightness; and provide, among other things, efficient heating and cooling systems with smart controls, including systems using low or zero carbon (LZC) technologies.
