The LABSS Annual Conference at the Beacon Centre in Greenock on 26 May celebrated another successful year for Building Standards in Scotland. Over the last 24 months officers have worked with Trading Standards and Police Scotland as part of Operation Doric in tackling doorstep crime. The team has provided support in assessing the true value and quality of works done by criminals purporting to undertake property maintenance and repair, and this contribution has been invaluable in securing significant custodial sentences.
