Local Authority Building Standards Scotland (LABSS) and The Federation of Master Builders (FMB) have  agreed to partner together  to improve the verification process and experience within Scotland.Nicholas McLaren Chair of LABSS presented Gordon Nelson Director of FMB Scotland with a LABSS tie in recognition of our agreement to work together at a recent meeting attended by LABSS, FMB and LABC and confirmed that initially  LABSS intends to take this initiative forward by developing  joint training and information for members.
The Federation of Master Builders (FMB) is the UK's largest trade association in the building industry, with national offices in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
LABSS is keen to partner with FMB Scotland and their independently inspected quality builders to support improved built compliance within the Scottish building standards system during the construction phase.
This supports a key aim of LABSS to improve Construction Compliance Notification Plans (CCNP) notifications under KPO 2 of the verification National Performance Framework and recognises that builders play a key role in the process
